    15. Why is your service called Webcast Buffet®?
    1. What is Webcast Buffet®?
      • Webcast Buffet® is a turnkey service designed to leverage your live webcast by turning it into an 8-month interactive marketing campaign. Each Webcast Buffet® includes edited points from the panelist discussions (Audio Cuts) along with other materials from your original webcast, presented within a user-friendly, interactive website. The Webcast Buffet® team can even update the content with fresh information and panelist interviews.
    2. How does Webcast Buffet® work?
      • We capture a recording of your live webcast. We produce Audio Cuts from the panelist discussion and gather other content from your webcast. All these materials become part of your Webcast Buffet® site.
      • For the next eight months, your Webcast Buffet® works for you, generating new sales leads, continuing your customers' engagement with your brand, and providing you with insight into their interests and concerns.
    3. How do I maximize the number of leads I generate with my Webcast Buffet®?
      • Your Webcast Buffet® can become a compelling new element of your ongoing marketing programs. Promote it on your web site, in your customer newsletters and in your advertising campaigns.
      • If you need help marketing your Webcast Buffet®, The Content Firm can develop a complete promotional campaign, including access to targeted lists of customers in your market. Call us for details.
    4. Is a Webcast Buffet® just the highlights of the original event?
      • No. A typical Webcast Buffet® includes all the original information presented during your live webcast—plus fresh, updated content that drives traffic and leads.
      • We regularly conduct additional interviews with the original panelists, allowing them to elaborate on comments they made and address questions they didn’t have a chance to answer during the live event. We can also interview other industry experts.
    5. Why do you categorize your Audio Cuts by topic, instead of by speaker?
      • Our format assumes attendees are more interested in what was said than who said it. This is especially true for B2B panels, where audience members are looking for useful insights and tips.
      • Your Webcast Buffet® is edited by journalists with experience covering your market. Other companies categorize by speaker because it's easier: no one has to know anything about the topic.
    6. How does Webcast Buffet® differ from the webcast archives that most webcast companies offer?
      • The archive feature typically bundled with live webcasts are verbatim repeats of the live event—with none of the live functionality. Visitors have to listen to explanations of how to participate in an Instant Poll, even though they can no longer participate. They are told how to ask the panelists questions, even though they no longer can.
      • Webcast Buffet® edits and categorizes live webcast content—and presents it in an effective, non-live format. Most visitors can learn the key points in less than 60 seconds. That’s a time investment even most CEOs are willing to make.
      • Think of an 11 o’clock news broadcast from two months ago. The TV station would hardly ever rebroadcast that program in it's original form. It would, however, rerun a documentary about a big news story that occurred two months ago. Webcast Buffet®, like a documentary, has long term editorial value; most webcast archive services don't.
      • A typical Webcast Buffet® requires about 16-20 hours to create, while a verbatim replay of the live event can be delivered within minutes of the event’s completion.
    7. What is an Audio Cut?
      • Audio Cuts are edited versions of audio content, either from your original webcast or from additional interviews we conduct.
      • Our editors pick the most compelling, on-topic quotes from your original live webcast. The quotes are edited and optimized for quick download and to make them more to-the-point. They are then encoded and posted to your Webcast Buffet®. Each Audio Cut is presented with a headline and a short text description, making it easy for your customers to choose what they want to hear.
      • Typically, each Audio Cut contains 40 seconds to three minutes of high quality, concentrated audio.
    8. How are Audio Cuts edited?
      • We remove long pauses, awkward verbal glitches (for example, "um," "er," "y'know,"), off-topic digressions, and background noise.
    9. Do the Audio Cuts have to be edited?
      • No. If you do not want panelist quotes modified (for example, if your webcast presented your company's financial forecast), that's ok. We can post Audio Cuts unedited.
    10. What formats do Audio Cuts come in?
      • Your customers can download Audio Cuts in their choice of two common formats: Windows Media Player and RealAudio. As an option, we can encode Audio Cuts in other formats.
      • By default, Audio Cuts are optimized for download over very slow connections. Even someone connecting over a 14.4K analog modem (say, from a hotel room) can download Audio Cuts almost instantly.
    11. Are Audio Cuts streamed?
      • No, but they are encoded. Audio Cut files are so small that they can be downloaded all at once, without streaming. This results in clearer audio and a better user experience because there are no interruptions due to network congestion.
    12. How do you make Audio Cuts so small without sacrificing quality?
      • We use state-of-the-art equipment to record your webcast.
      • We make each cut deal with one specific point, somewhere between 40 seconds and about three minutes.
      • We heavily edit the cuts, removing pauses and verbal glitches, without losing any information.
      • The spoken word can be compressed tightly, without reduction in quality.
      • We deliver audio that sounds better than the original webcast, but with much smaller files, allowing for almost instantaneous response without delays for network synching.
    13. What is a Content Category?
      • We categorize your Audio Cuts into several categories, making it easy for your customers to find the information they want.
    14. How do I record my webcast?
      • We record your webcast for you, using our state-of-the-art equipment to capture a broadcast-quality, digital recording by boosting the signal from a regular telephone line.
    15. Why is your service called Webcast Buffet®?
      • We want your customers to be in charge. We take a journalist's approach: if you keep the audience happy, interested and wanting to come back for more, everything else will fall into place.
      • Think of a live webcast as attending a formal sitdown dinner. The host or hostess controls everything. The menu is already decided and the meal is presented in a predetermined sequence.
      • Now let’s have that same meal presented as a dinner buffet at a restaurant. You can quickly walk through the buffet—for free—and decide if this food is at all what you want. It takes perhaps a minute to do. If you opt to stay, you can make a beeline right for the peas and onions, if you’d like, bypassing the soup and salad. You can go for the dessert first. You can take two servings of carrots and none of the entree if you choose.
      • We like that analogy. Taking a live webcast and repackaging it so attendees have control: that’s Webcast Buffet®.

With a minimal investment, you can turn your live webcast into a long-term online marketing campaign, generating months of market awareness, ongoing market research, and a steady stream of new sales leads.
